Heather Milton, MS, CEP, CSCS is a clinical exercise physiologist, speaker, and leader in sports performance, and evidence-based exercise programming.
With over 15 years of experience spanning clinical care, research, and performance optimization, Heather specializes in bridging the gap between science and application. Her work focuses on integrating evidence-based exercise interventions into patient care and athletic development, helping individuals—from clinical populations to elite athletes—improve health outcomes, reduce injury risk, and maximize performance.
A graduate of Northeastern University, Heather’s career began in research at the Tufts Human Nutrition Research Center, and she has since contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications in sports medicine and exercise science. She previously served as a Supervisor of the Sports Performance Center at NYU Langone following her tenure as Senior Exercise Physiologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and the National Institute of Fitness and Sport.
Heather is a former President of the Greater New York Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine and currently serves on advisory boards for USA Football and Lark Technologies.
Passionate about education and mentorship, Heather has developed internship programs, led curriculum development initiatives, and trained the next generation of exercise physiologists. She is known for her ability to translate complex physiology into actionable strategies that empower both clinicians and clients.
Through her clinical work, speaking, and content development, Heather is dedicated to advancing access to high-quality exercise physiology services and elevating the standard of care in health, performance, and disease prevention.
